List conversations

GET/api/v2/conversations

Returns conversations the way the Inbox shows them, latest activity first, with each contact's recent messages.

conversation has the same fields as on the contact object, plus has_unread and message_count, the number of messages included in messages.

Rate limit 150 requests per minute

Query parameters

  • limitinteger

    Conversations per page, 1 to 20. Default 20.

  • message_limitinteger

    Messages per conversation, 1 to 100. Default 10. limit times message_limit can be at most 1,000.

  • pagestring

    The next_page value from the previous response.

  • fieldsstring

    Contact details: basic (default) or full.

  • start_datestring

    Last message from this date.

  • end_datestring

    Last message up to this date.

  • has_unreadboolean

    Only conversations with (true) or without (false) unread messages.

  • is_unknownboolean

    Only contacts without (true) or with (false) a known name.

Errors

limit times message_limit is over 1,000.
400invalid_<parameter>
A query parameter has a value that is not allowed, for example invalid_limit or invalid_has_unread. message says what.
400invalid_date_range
start_date is after end_date.
503query_timeout
Too slow. Use a smaller limit.
